A-TEAM SQUAD TRAINING

Starts Week Beginning 4th SEPTEMBER

12 Week Term

(MON 4th SEPT – THUR 26th OCT|SUN 12th NOV – SUN 10th DEC)

MON 5.30-7.30pm / SAT 2.30-4.30pm

 

Kids attending these training squads are required to meet the coaching directors criteria for ability, work ethic, attitude and commitment to discipline required for top level training and physical conditioning.  These are mixed girls and boys squads, every athlete attending is expected to attend with a professional attitude, willing to train hard, challenge themselves and show respect on and off court to others at all times!

IMG_0155Training squads will cover all aspects of tennis including technical, tactical, physical and mental conditioning.  Each player will have goal setting and targets to m
eet throughout the term, monitored by the Coaching Director.

All Players in Performance Tennis are required to attend 2 squads per week minimum, unlimited squad option is also available.  Places are limited to 10 per squad.

YOUNG GUNS TRAINING SQUADS

YOUNG GUNS : AGES 4-10YRS

Red ball 4/6yrs) tennis on mini court & net developing fundamental hand/eye coimg_2672-ordination, agility, athletic skills and technique through fun and challenging
games & exercises. End goal is Serve, Rally & Score!

Orange Ball (6/8yrs) tennis on a 3/4 court & full net, developing fundamental hand/eye co-ordinatioimg_2666n, agility, athletic skills and technique through fun and challenging games & exercises. End goal is Serve, Rally & Score with the addition of full serve & initial tactical skills. 

Green Ball (8-10yrs) tennis on full court, developing fundamental hand/eye co-ordination, agility, athletic skills aimg_7275nd technique through fun and challenging games & exercises. End goal is Serve, Rally & Score with the addition of developing serve & advanced tactical skills, initial fitness & conditioning training, mental/ warm up/cool down routines.

All of the above will be achieved through various fun games, drills & live play situations.

These squads will always have a low 1:3 coach to player ratio for maximum quality of skills development and individual skills assessment.
